Sandwich Isles Communications, Inc. (SIC) is a rural telephone company founded in 1995. Licensed by the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) since 1998, SIC provides affordable broadband telecommunications services to Hawaiian Home Lands (HHL) communities and commercial properties located on HHL. SIC's commitment is to provide a modern, next generation, high-speed telecommunication infrastructure that serves HHL statewide. An all-underground fiber optic cable network delivers SIC's state-of-the-art services throughout Hawaii, and since 2007, all new services have been delivered by fiber right to the home or office [FTTP].
